Items of note include account book of George Weekes, blacksmith, 1753-1773; letters, receipts, contracts, charters and other shipping papers of Capt. Joseph C. Delano, 1823-1840; journal of John Abeel Weekes, 1839-1840; business letters of Frederick Delano Weekes and his brother Henry deForest Weekes involving their work as lawyers, 1889-1921; travel journals of Alice Delano Weekes and John A. Weekes, from tours in Europe and Egypt, with sketches, 1876-1879; birdwatching diaries of Alice D. Weekes, 1907-1911; and a scrapbook of Alice D. Weekes from her mother, Alice Hathaway Delano Weekes, with sketches and drawings, some by Albert Bierstadt. There are also genealogical notes on the Weekes family; copies of records from the Oyster Bay Town Clerk's Office, 1663-1745; photographs of many family members, including photos of painted portraits; and clippings about the family.
